Presented by Cleveland Institute of Art and Museum of Contemporary Art Cleveland at Online/Virtual Space

Spend your lunch hour hearing from Julia Arredondo, a Chicago-based artist entrepreneur who’s currently the host of a series of Cleveland-focused QTVC Live! episodes that spotlight the tremendously talented local artists who represent Cleveland. This special edition of Lunch on Fridays is hosted by both CIA’s Reinberger Gallery and moCa Cleveland. It will take place from 12:15 to 1:30pm Friday, January 28.

This edition of Lunch on Fridays will be hosted live via Zoom Webinar at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83387977983

Arredondo’s QTVC Live! is what\’s next in art commerce. QTVC Live! supports contemporary artists who create merchandising opportunities that connect with today\’s art lovers. In an effort to deepen the impact of local artists, moCa has partnered with Arredondo to amplify additional online and onsite opportunities for artists to sell their work. The fourth episode of QTVC Live! of 2021 features Cleveland-based artist and organizer Antwoine Washington, who unveils a limited-edition T-shirt specifically designed for QTVC Live!’s partnership with moCa. Twenty percent of the proceeds will be donated to local organizations of the artist\’s choosing. To support local artists and to purchase one of 50 T-shirts in this collection, shop here.

Arredondo recently concluded her MFA at Columbia College Chicago. Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, she is heavily influenced by the small, family-based businesses she grew up around. Formally trained in printmaking and specializing in artistic forms of independent publishing, Arredondo founded Vice Versa Press and Curandera Press as her entrepreneurial debuts. Having launched QTVC Live!, a DIY home-shopping channel, in January 2020, she is now collaborating with moCa Cleveland on six brand new episodes. Arredondo is currently a Residential Fellow at the Lunder Institute for American Art in Waterville, Maine and is a recent recipient of the ENVISION grant from the Thoma Foundation.
