Human Trafficking Awareness Discussion

Presented by Cleveland Rape Crisis Center and Cleveland Public Library at Online/Virtual Space

About this event
Human trafficking is one of the fastest-growing enterprises in the world. In recognition of Human Trafficking Awareness Month, the Cleveland Public Library and the Cleveland Rape Crisis Center will facilitate a virtual community-based awareness forum to enhance the community’s knowledge regarding the elements of human trafficking.

The forum will consist of a brief presentation and panel discussion with Cleveland Rape Crisis Center professionals who work with survivors of human trafficking.

Participants will walk away from this conversation with:

1. Tools to identify human trafficking

2. Increased knowledge of community-based resources for survivors and how to refer

3. The ability to identify ways to prevent human trafficking

This event is a part of the DiverseCITY Cleveland Program.
DiverseCITY Cleveland is the Cleveland Public Library’s social justice program introducing social action and social justice conversations that matter to the community. Such conversations will include civics courses, educational opportunities, and events related to social justice and social actions efforts in Cleveland and the United States.
