Family Concert at CIM

Presented by Blue Streak Ensemble and Cleveland Institute of Music at Cleveland Institute of Music - Mixon Hall

Bring the whole family to hear Margaret Brouwer’s musical story Daniel and Snakeman, followed by a staged performance of Robert Kapilow’s Green Eggs and Ham, based on Dr. Seuss’ famous book.

Daniel and Snakeman is a story with music for children K through 4th grade. The various characters in the story are represented by different instruments – Daniel by horn, Wiggy by clarinet, Fadumo by oboe, Elizabeth by flute, and Snakeman by bassoon, and a storyteller who narrates the action.

Performed by North Coast winds, storyteller Marcia Denton, Lara Troyer – soprano, Peter Bush – baritone, and Anne Wilson on piano.

Parking Info

CIM’s parking lot is located off Hazel Drive, directly behind the 1609 Hazel Residence Hall. The entrance is on the north end of the residence hall; pedestrians may exit and enter from the south end, nearer CIM’s main building. Note that all parking in CIM’s circle drive on East Boulevard is subject to availability. Violators may be ticketed or towed.

Payment is by credit or debit card only and pre-paid passes are not available. Visitors must enter their phone number when entering and exiting the lot, in order to calculate parking time and fee.

Metered and unmetered street parking is available on Hazel Drive, Juniper Road and Magnolia Drive, and there are paid lots at neighboring institutions (www.universitycircle.org/destinations/parking). Visitors are encouraged to follow all posted signage, as meter restrictions are enforced in the district.
