“My soul magnifies the Lord and my spirit rejoices in God, my Savior!” This opening exclamation of Mary’s Song, the Magnificat, expresses more than just her willingness to be the vessel of the Messiah. In Quire Cleveland’s opening program of its 14th season, it is a call to awaken our collective souls and spirits to bask in renewed life through the sounds of the human voice!

We invite you to celebrate the season as we raise our myriad voices through familiar carols interspersed around three sixteenth-century settings of the Magnificat, the Virgin Mary’s hymn of praise to the Lord, taken from Luke’s Gospel (1:46-55).
