Join together for an online session to learn about the different components of the prestigious Stop the Hate program, celebrating diversity and inclusion.
“Courage is when you dare to be yourself, in whatever ways you want to be – to not be afraid, to just do it.” — Loung Ung
Inspired by Cambodian-born American human-rights activist, author, and Cleveland resident, Loung Ung, the Maltz Museum of Jewish Heritage invites 6 – 12th grade students, parents, and educators to participate in an act of courage by helping to Stop the Hate.
Known nationally for awarding $100,000 in scholarships and prizes to Northeast Ohio students and schools, the Stop the Hate program has grown to include museum tours, classroom writing workshops, and more. Meet representatives from the Maltz Museum and its partners, Lake Erie Ink and Roots of American Music. Hear from the 2021 Stop the Hate Educators of the Year and contest finalists. Find out how students are earning Stop the Hate Upstander Certificates and schools are being named Stop the Hate Upstander Schools. Followed by Q&A.
