Join Valley Art Center as we host Heights Arts and their “Ekphrastacy: Artists Talk + Poets Respond” program, in response to “Points of View”, on September 30th. This literary and performance program is a regularly-held series at Heights Arts, where poets observe the current exhibitions in Heights Arts’ gallery, and become inspired to write original poems based off the feelings each exhibition evokes.

Cleveland-area writers are invited and selected by current Poet Laureate and Cleveland Art Prize 2021 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient Ray McNiece to view the installed artwork. Then they compose original poems inspired by the exhibition pieces. During this event, the poets will be reading their inspired pieces live.
