Fairmount Center for the Arts "Pull Back the Curtain" Speaker Series: The Art of Being a Ballerina

Presented by Fairmount Center for the Arts at Fairmount Center for the Arts

Kate Webb Berk dances professionally with Verb Ballets (one of Northeast Ohio’s oldest and most respected dance companies) where she has been a company dancer for 7 years. Originally from Richmond, VA, Kate danced as a company trainee with Richmond Ballet. She then attended Butler University where she graduated (in three years!) with a BS in Dance and Arts Administration. Kate has been on Faculty with Fairmount Center for the Arts since 2015 where in addition to teaching the advanced ballet classes, she is the Director of the Fairmount Dance Company which provides additional educational and community performances throughout Northeast Ohio. Join Fairmount Center for the Arts and professional dancer Kate Webb Berk for insight, stories and tales from her professional career as a ballerina.
