Presented by The Holden Arboretum / Cleveland Botanical Garden at Holden Arboretum

This exclusive workshop will introduce participants to expedition photography with an emphasis on selecting a subject, scope, and story for a photography project or experience. Kendrick will review tools and tips for the trade, as well as submission strategies for those interested in publication. There will be an indoor presentation accompanied by an outdoor field session which will include a photography hike. Please come dressed for the weather. A brown bag lunch is suggested but grab-and-go meals provided by Spice Kitchen are available for purchase. This class is appropriate for all levels of photographers and writers. Scholarships may be available upon request.

Kendrick is a professional photographer and writer who has been published in various outdoor magazines including Gray’s Sporting Journal and The Fly Fish Journal and has also partnered with non-profit organizations to highlight their stories for fundraising appeals. Course topics include proven concepts for revealing essential images for outdoor storytelling, technical tips, gear suggestions, and editorial submission advice.
