Roberto Ocasio Foundation Latin Jazz Concert

Roberto Ocasio Foundation Latin Jazz Concert

Presented by The Roberto Ocasio Foundation at The Cleveland Museum of Art

Welcome Back!  This is a fantastic and creative revision of the popular annual Roberto Ocasio Latin Jazz Camp Concert.  Though our resident Camp at CWRU had to be postponed for the second summer due to Covid, we didn’t let that stop us.  We’ve gathered together some of the topmost Latin Jazz performers and an ensemble of our “Alumni” Students & Faculty.  Bobby Sanabria (world-renowned multi-Grammy nominee, master drummer/percussionist, composer, arranger, band leader, and music educator) is back to direct and this time bringing from New York – Janis Siegel (internationally acclaimed multi-Grammy winner, vocalist/arranger with the legendary “Manhattan Transfer” group).  The incredible concert lineup also includes:  Paul Ferguson (trombone), Cleveland Jazz Orchestra Artistic Director/CWRU Music Department Lead Instructor; Jackie Warren (piano); Kip Reed (bass); and Scott McKee (trumpet).  Please join us for this first opening-up concert at CMA…and bring your mambo shoes!
