This walking tour will take place Sunday, 8/15/21 and will visit historically significant sites in the Moreland neighborhood based on extensive research and oral histories collected by neighborhood residents during the Moreland History Project.
Whether you’re a Shaker native or a tourist, spend this summer with the Shaker Historical Society to learn about Shaker Heights while enjoying everything the city has to offer! Bike Shaker 2021 will feature a monthly guided tour in May through August. **Please note this tour has been transitioned to a walking tour due to road safety concerns.**
Our August tour of the Moreland Neighborhood is a great introduction to Shaker Heights history. This walking tour will take place Sunday, August 15, 2021 and will visit historically significant sites in the Moreland neighborhood based on extensive research and oral histories collected by neighborhood residents during the Moreland History Project in 2017. A map with historical information will be available to download for self-guided tours after this guided tour.

Parking is available in the lot behind the museum. Cyclists may park their bikes at racks near the main entrance. Drivers may park facing the garage. A designated handicapped parking space is located near the ADA ramp and entrance. If the lot is full, visitors may park on the north side of South Park Blvd (opposite the museum).
