Book club meets choir in this exploration of Stephen Sieck’s text, Teaching with Respect.
As we seek brave, inclusive spaces, we’ll examine ways to teach and reach all students by seeing individuals rather than the collective “choir”. Conscientious choices in our repertoire, attire, voicing, and language make a huge difference. This workshop will both celebrate and critique standard choral pedagogy as participants create an affirming curriculum that honors the unique identity of each singer.
