Class timeline:

Zoom #1: Wednesday, June 30, 6-7:30pm EST

Zoom #2: Wednesday, July 7, 6-7:30pm EST

Learn the magic that is RISO with RISO-rockstar Alex Luciano in Richmond Virginia! Alex will walk you through the basics of Risograph printing on her home studio’s EZ221 RISO Machine. You will learn how to format two-color prints, and watch as Alex prints your very own designs in real time! At the end of the class, the prints will be sent to you in the mail.

Zoom Meeting One:

– Introduction to the Risograph machine and ink colors/press capabilities

– Step-by-step instructions of how to format your prints

– Some drawing and design time, time to ask questions

Before the second meeting you will send Alex your designs.

Zoom Meeting Two:

– Live test prints of different color combinations

– Live printing of your designs!

At the end of class you will be mailed copies of your very own RISO prints.

Instructor Bio:

Alex Luciano is a printmaker, educator and riso enthusiast living in Richmond, VA. She teaches classes on risography at Studio Two Three, and is exploring illustration + design through experiments with printed matter in her own practice.
