Join the Shaker Historical Society and African American Quilt and Doll Guild for the opening reception of a Juneteenth Quilt Show.
Join us in-person on Friday, June 18 for the opening of our newest Jack & Linda Lissauer Gallery exhibition! This free Juneteenth Quilt Show reception is open to the public and will feature the work of the African American Quilt and Doll Guild. The quilts explore the themes of Juneteenth and the story of Freedom as interpreted by the guild’s talented fiber artists. This exhibition will be on display from June 18-September 12 in our second floor Lissauer Gallery.
The African American Quilt and Doll Guild’s philosophy is to share their work, ideas, and talents in a comfortable and caring atmosphere; to explore their African-American heritage with respect to the textile arts; and to teach and inspire each other.
