Abby is a 12-year old 7th grader at Solon Middle School. She participated in the last three Battle of the Teal visual and performing arts showcases. Abby won 1st place in both Visual and Performing Arts Junior categories during the Spring-Summer 2021 showcase, which earned her the title “Best in Show”. She was a champion of the Fall 2020 showcase in the Visual Arts Junior category. She placed at 3rd place in the May 2020 showcase in the Performing Arts Junior category.

Abby started drawing when she was three years old and has been passionate about art ever since. She loves drawing, painting, writing, playing the piano and violin, and playing tennis.

The COVID-19 pandemic that started in March 2020 posed tremendous challenges to everyone as schools were closed, and she was under quarantine at home. It is during these unprecedented challenging times that she became passionate about acrylic painting. Since then she has done over 300 acrylic paintings, and those colorful canvases are taking over her parents’ house. She loves painting horses, animals, fairylands, and landscapes. She wishes to use her talent and passion in acrylic painting to share her dreams, hopes, warmth, love, and joy with the world. She also hopes that you find cheers, joy, hope, and inspiration in her paintings.

iN Education’s Battle of the Teal is a year-round art program that promotes visual and performing artists’ hard work and dedication. This program builds a platform for young K-12 students and emerging artists to develop their chosen art form and boost their confidence level. We are excited to have the opportunity and the honor to share ten of the latest Abby’s masterpieces with the world!
