Goal Stones

Goal Stones

Presented by Arts Impact and Cuyahoga County Public Library at Online/Virtual Space

Using paint markers, we will create painted “goal stones” to be reminders of our goals for the future.

A meeting link will be emailed to registered participants approximately one hour prior to the start of the program. Staff will be available for help with connecting to Zoom and technical issues beginning 15 minutes prior to the program. You will need a device with audio and/or video and an internet connection to join.

If you have questions about this program, please contact a librarian at the Berea Branch at 440-234-5475.

The following materials are recommended to follow along with the program at home:

*3-5 smooth stones, various sizes. Can be found outside or purchased from a craft supply store.
*Paint Markers, various colors (important that these are paint markers and NOT regular markers)
*Mod Podge, glossy finish
*Medium-size paintbrush for applying Mod Podge OR sponge brush
*Plastic bowl or container for Mod Podge

Why goal stones? Tying in SEL (Social Emotional Learning) competencies of self-awareness, self-management, and goal setting, participants will identify an area of school or life that interests them. They will learn how to use SMART goals to assist them in achieving these goals and to overcome obstacles that get in the way. These “goal stones” serve as constant reminders of the student’s goals for the future.
