The Doan Brook Watershed Partnership invites the community to enjoy a fun-filled day of free fishing with friends and family at University Circle’s historic Rockefeller Park Lagoon.
Join Doan Brook Watershed Partnership and Cleveland Metroparks Youth Outdoors for fun, family-friendly fishing Saturday, June 26th from 10am – 12pm or 1pm – 3pm. We’ll cover the basics from tackle and technique to casting, fish ID, and handling. We’ll even show you how to clean and prepare your catch. After learning the basics, everyone can test their luck fishing for stocked bluegill and catfish in the beautiful Rockefeller Lagoon. Bring your own rod and reel or borrow one of ours. Bait will be provided.
Participants should bring a cooler and ice if they plan to keep their catches. No fishing license is required to fish in the lagoon.
Free Admission. Advance registration is required at doanbrookpartnership.org prior to event date. For more info contact Elizabeth at 216-325-7781 or smith@doanbrookpartnership.org
