Mother’s Day Tea Party

Mother’s Day Tea Party

Presented by Shaker Historical Society at Shaker Historical Society

The Shaker Historical Society requests the pleasure of your company for tea and cakes on Sunday, May the ninth at two o’clock in the afternoon! Make sure not to miss out on a teatime filled with crafts, contests, flowers, and a celebration of (any) loving caregiver and their children.

This event will include tea and other beverages, an individual bundt cake, supplies for fancy mask decorating, flowers for arrangements, music, dancing, and laughter. We understand that this year has been challenging for many and are requesting a $20 donation, which would include everything listed for up to four family members. We will also be offering the opportunity, for those who are able, to “pay it forward” and support other families who are not able to donate but wish to participate. So dress in your fanciest (or most fun) tea party attire and visit shakerhistory.org to reserve your spot!

The Shaker Historical Society takes the safety of you and your family very seriously. Therefore, this event will be held outside on our lawn with small tables for 4 set up 6 feet apart. Masks will be required when not eating or drinking. A rain date will be set if necessary.

This tea party is also a gift card drive to support Shaker African American Moms Support (SAMS) and local mothers. From SAMS: “SAMS intends to provide support to mothers and helps to connect them with resources. As we always design our programs around the needs of African American mothers, we remember that others such as International mothers could benefit from these same resources. “SAMS connects with friends” allows for us to also focus on other mothers who may be in need of support. We will share donations and funds with international families as a way to share the love and support.”

Please consider bringing a gift card with you to the tea party or purchasing a digital Target gift card. You can order a digital gift
