Cleveland AIM: A Brief History

Cleveland AIM: A Brief History

Presented by Shaker Historical Society at Online/Virtual Space

Join Cleveland AIM representatives Robert Roche and Jeff Pierce for the second talk in a two-part series about Cleveland AIM History and issues facing Native Nations. This talk will discuss the history of Cleveland AIM, which was started in 1972 by Russel Means to address the impact of social, cultures, traditions, and poverty of relocated Native people in Cleveland. Russel Means appointed Robert Roche as Director in 1995. This series is free to the public but registration is required through Zoom. You can register at https://zoom.us/meeting/register/tJUofuuprT8qG9Y02rg_bluKGndD1Bz4PoPH.

The Shaker Historical Society acknowledges that Cleveland AIM provides one perspective of Native history and issues but does not speak on behalf of all Indigenous people of Northeast Ohio.
