Join GroundWorks’ artists David Shimotakahara, Nicole Hennington, Annie Morgan and their collaborators, Miriam Bennett and Cory Sheldon, for a showing of dance on film
After the showing, there will be a panel discussion between the artists about the creative process and how their work will change moving forward after this experience.
Cory Sheldon and Nicole Hennington will be premiering a new film titled “Between Presence”. Miriam Bennett and Annie Morgan will show excerpts from an ongoing project.
2020 and 2021 has allowed GroundWorks to explore and create new dance films. In the fall, GroundWorks gave an opportunity, through our Choreolab series, for our company dancers to collaborate and explore the dance film medium with two Akron based video makers, Miriam Bennett and Cory Sheldon.
ChoreoLAB is an annual project that provides both time and space to our company dancers. During this period, the dancers are able to explore different ideas and experiment with movement through a totally open and free space.
