An encore web stream of CVLT’s 2014 production “The Price”, a drama by Arthur Miller about family dynamics, the price of furniture, and the price of one’s decisions.
From the writer of Death of a Salesman and The Crucible comes the story of two estranged brothers, who come to their father’s New York brownstone to settle the estate before the building is demolished.
Victor Franz (Frank J. Laukiavicius) is the policeman who took care of their father rather than pursue his dreams, while his brother Walter Franz (Bob Fortlage) is the successful career man who has been gone for sixteen years. Victor’s wife Esther (Chris White) is also present, urgently waiting for her husband to retire, as is Solomon (Don Edelman), the mysterious antique dealer who is searching for anything of value among the late Mr. Franz’ possessions.
CVLT originally staged this production under the direction of Cindee Catalano-Edelman in 2014 with sponsorship from Philip Rini / Wells Fargo Advisors.
