Join Museum naturalists at Portage County’s Dix Park, a 108-acre county park showcasing diverse habitats of mature mixed hardwood forests, wetlands, springs, and meadows. We will traverse the areas searching for wetland denizens and spring wildflowers. We will also be on the lookout for aquatic species and early migrant bird visitors.

WHAT TO WEAR AND BRING
Hiking boots and clothing befitting the weather, field gear, water, snacks, lunch, sunscreen if needed, binoculars, camera, hiking poles if desired. If it has been raining, trails may be muddy. Knee-high boots recommended if going into the water.
