Experiment with movement from a seated dancer’s perspective.
Dancers in the Dancing Wheels company will lead a seated dance class for people of all abilities. In this guided program, participants will explore dance from a seated position and discover new ways to access movement. Through structured improvisation, each participant will use movement to express their relationship to freedom and confinement. This is the first in a series of programs examining dance as a liberatory practice. The series offers one way to investigate moCa’s new exhibitions and the season’s guiding question, “What is freedom?”
