Talking Baseball! with Justice Hill

Talking Baseball! with Justice Hill

Presented by Baseball Heritage Museum at Online/Virtual Space

Larry Lester, one of the cofounders of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, has spent decades writing about black
baseball and the stars who played the game. He has been a leader in the research into the history of the league and
has one of the richest collection of black baseball artifacts of anyone in America.

In 2006, he campaigned with Satchel Paige’s children and others for Congress to designate May 20 as “Negro Leaguers Recognition Day.” As part of the “Talkin’ Baseball!” series, Lester will discuss Satchel and his role as the most celebrated star in the league.
