This Ohio City home, located at 4201 Franklin Boulevard, is one of the most intact Victorian homes in the historic neighborhood. With the help of the Heritage Home Program, the current owners restored many elements of the home’s original beauty and modernized other areas in keeping with period charm. After a virtual walking tour through the house, there will be a Q&A with owners Matt and Celine Shenk, and Lincrusta wallpaper expert Stephen Sullivan of Sullivan’s Wallcoverings. Don’t miss your chance to explore this amazing home!

The William H. Ford house was built in 1891 and used over the years as a private residence, rumored to be a boarding house for nuns, and a flophouse. Though many historic elements remained, the house was in disarray when it was purchased at a sheriff’s auction in 2014. Broken windows, a hole in the kitchen floor, and major structural issues made the home unlivable. With a lot of dedication, the current owners undertook four rounds of construction over the course of three years to get it to where it is today.
