My Story: Christine Howey with Phyllis Harris

My Story: Christine Howey with Phyllis Harris

Presented by Maltz Museum at Online/Virtual Space

Join us for monthly conversations between exceptional local Cleveland women who have paved their own path, simultaneously paving the way for others, breaking down barriers to live and work with passion and purpose, followed by audience Q&A.

On International Day of Transgender Visibility, join Phyllis Harris, executive director of LGBT Center of Greater Cleveland as she interviews Christine Howey on her journey in openly transitioning to live as a woman in her mid-forties and how her stage play and later film, “Exact Change” has impacted the lives of trans youth and their families on their own journeys, as one article noted, “It’s not just a trans story, it’s a human story… it’s a story about a girl who lived.”

We are proud to present this program in connection to the special exhibition, Notorious: RBG: The Life & Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg, presented locally by PNC Bank.
