The early days of the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan, China, are wrenchingly rendered in this much-lauded new documentary that reveals not only the heroic work performed in four hospitals but also some of the individual human stories that unfolded during the 76-day lockdown of this city of 11 million people. “[A] remarkable front-line report…An emotional-wringer.” –Hollywood Reporter. “One of the best I saw via Toronto.” –Manohla Dargis, NY Times. Cleveland premiere. Subtitles. 93 min.

See 76 DAYS for free while still supporting the Cinematheque!
January 23, 2021, marks the one-year anniversary of the world’s first COVID-19 lockdown of a city (Wuhan, China). To commemorate the occasion, and to support the local art house cinemas that have struggled through the past year of temporary closures and disruptions, MTV Documentary Films will make the new documentary 76 DAYS available for free on Saturday 1/23. Though the movie will not cost patrons anything, brick and mortar art houses whose business has been affected by the pandemic (including ours) will still receive their normal share of the box office revenue for each ticket “sold.” To participate (and help us out), just enter the promo code FREEJAN23 at checkout here on Saturday. Thanks!
