Les Miserables School Edition

Les Miserables School Edition

Presented by Near West Theatre at Online/Virtual Space

Even the darkest night will end and the sun will rise.
Inspired by a Victor Hugo fictional novel surrounding the real-life vortex of events that led to the 1832 June Rebellion in Paris, Les Misérables School Edition follows an ensemble cast of iconic characters through the exceptional trials of life in 19th-century France. Les Misérables is an evergreen tale depicting themes and injustices reflective of our current struggles as a society. Return to this acclaimed classic—the longest running Broadway musical ever—with music by Claude-Michel Schonberg, lyrics by Herbert Kretzmer, and soaring orchestrations by John Cameron. This Winter Youth Production will be performed by students in a staged concert/virtual performance adhering to COVID-19 safety protocols. This is Les Miserables as you’ve never seen before, and for the first time ever on the NWT stage.
Les Misérables School Edition is streamed through ShowTix4U, Music Theatre International’s preferred vendor.
School Edition specially adapted and licensed by MUSIC THEATRE INTERNATIONAL and CAMERON MACKINTOSH (OVERSEAS) LTD.
