Virtual event that explores Borikén, the island more recently known as Puerto Rico.
Borikén, more recently known as Puerto Rico, is a dynamic and beautiful place. The land feels alive and invites your participation into its waters, forest, mountains, and caves.
Lynette Ramos traveled to Borikén with the help of a grant from Cuyahoga Arts and Culture and her local community to study the Taino’s, the indigenous people of the island.
In this virtual event, you are welcomed to come along to explore the island and its rich history through the footage that was captured and also enjoy narration of the experience. She will also be joined by two amazing local artists Marisol Ramos and Yanilka who will be sharing their talents as inspired by the project.
