“Shaker’s Attic: A History of Community Giving.” Exhibit

“Shaker’s Attic: A History of Community Giving.” Exhibit

at Shaker Historical Society

Join the Shaker Historical Society for this free members-only preview for our new exhibit “Shaker’s Attic: A History of Community Giving.” It’s not uncommon for local historical societies to become “community attics” after decades of donations from residents and organizations. Like attics, many objects go into storage and rarely come out. “Shaker’s Attic” is curated by our Junior Board Member Hazel Smith and highlights treasures from the museum’s collection, donated by active Shaker residents, that are not on view yet hold significant historical value.

To follow safety protocols, masks are required and there will be staggered entry to the exhibit based on arrival time. You may be asked to wait in another room if the gallery is at capacity. Parking is available behind the museum and on the north side of South Park Blvd. across from the museum. Please note that this event may be held virtually or cancelled if the museum is required to close due to rising COVID cases in Cuyahoga County.

This exhibit is open to the public during museum hours from November 7, 2020 through January 30, 2021 and is also available to view digitally on the museum’s website at www.shakerhistory.org.
