Spoofing and ultimately subverting John Hughes-style teen comedies and end-of-high- school movies, this off-kilter indie imagines a bizarre rite-of-passage at a local deli on the last day of spring semester. Graduating seniors gather to dance, flirt, eat, and also learn their individual fates and futures. It’s the most important night of these kids’ lives, determining who will leave their suburban town and who will remain behind. (And you thought the prom was traumatic!)
