A free, virtual performance of a concert by the Cleveland Chamber Choir that will feature a diverse collection of repertoire mixing themes of time and timelessness, plague and pestilence, and prayer and consolation.
The COVID-19 global pandemic may have caused unprecedented cancelations of concert events by arts organizations everywhere, but it can’t keep the stunning voices of the Cleveland Chamber Choir silent! To open our Sixth Season, CCC will release a concert on November 14, 2020 entitled “Music of Our Time…And of All Times.” While it saddens us not to perform for a live audience, you will be able to view our pre-recorded concert — filmed in Cuyahoga County, using safe, socially-distanced best practices for singing — from the comfort and safety of your own home—and for free! In recognition of the current tumultuous times we live in, we will sing a diverse repertoire of music mixing themes of time and timelessness, plague and pestilence, and prayer and consolation by a broad range of composers from the sixteenth century until today. There is nothing like the colorful palette of the human voice to reflect our many emotions through amazing music! We hope you’ll join us, as you have in past seasons in person, for our first video concert. We are the Cleveland Chamber Choir: More Than Music!
This concert will be available for free on Facebook and Youtube. CCC will be sharing proceeds from your generous donations received between the release date on November 14 to the end of the month with the Greater Cleveland Food Bank.
