The Open Art Studio at Far West Center helps persons with severe mental illness use creative art tools for health and recovery. Our client-artists are delighted to showcase their progress during this community exhibit.
The Art Helps and Heals (aka AHH!) Open Art Studio at Far West Center provides opportunities for adults in recovery from mental illness to express emotions and self-reflections with the use of art tools. Clients can enter the AHH! Open Art Studio program without having any previous art experience. It is an emotionally safe environment for clients to experiment using artistic expression. In the process they discover and gain the healing benefits of participation in the visual arts.
Please visit our display in the community and share in the healing experiences that creating artwork has for mental health recovery.
