Shakespeare like you’ve never seen it before! Twelfth Night is the classic romantic comedy that is performed using a new adaptation by Alison Carey (a member of Play on Shakespeare, formerly a part of Oregon Shakespeare Festival). The production is peformed by 8 of Northeast Ohio’s finest professional actors and directed by Tyler Collins and Delaney Hagy using Zoom technology for rehearsals and filming, green screens, costumes, props, uniform cameras, microphones and lighting. The final product will be shown on a gigantic LED 17-foot screen at Solon Community Park on Friday and Sunday evening Labor Day Weekend. The Video Producer is Gavyn Martin.
The City of Solon is preparing pre-drawn, socially-distanced circles in the ballpark that will safely seat a group or family of 6 in lawn chairs or on blankets. Masks are required The City is also providing food trucks or movie-goers can bring a picnic. Restroom facilities are available and there is ample parking. The shows are free to the public, however, Chagrin Arts and the cast and artistic team have dedicated this production to the Ohio Innocence Project (OIP). The OIP does wonderful work to free people who have been wrongly incarcerated. Chagrin Arts’ focus over the next several seasons is ‘arts with a purpose.’
