Photosynthesis Photography otherwise known as Chlorophyll Process, is an alternative process photography method using the natural chemistry of leaves and other flora to create lasting images.

In this exclusive workshop, which will be Bias’ last workshop on the subject for the year, participants will learn the fundamentals of photosynthesis photography, the origin and will have the option to purchase the materials needed to use this process to create their own unique work of art.

Those participants purchasing supplies must provide an image for the instructor to create a photo negative to include in your individualized materials kit. The instructor will reach out to participants individually by email by the registration deadline. Registration deadline for materials is August 19. Supplies can be picked up at our Cleveland Botanical Garden Campus during our open hours between Wednesday, August 26 – Friday, August 28. Materials are not refundable. Participants will need to provide their own leaf for printing.

For those who wish to purchase their own materials, you will need:

-11×14” plexi glass frame for contact printing
-8×10” photo negative with their image of choice
-Information packet
-Digital copy of the PowerPoint presentation for reference (all students will be provided with this after the workshop via email)

Please note the workshop is rain or shine but the process time is dependent on weather. Participants will be able to complete their project at home at their own convenience.
