Kill Joy was born in the desert of west Texas. Her family comes from the Philippines. This contrast in physical and mental landscapes, desert and jungle, sun and moon, fire and water are themes she explores in her print and mural work. She has lived throughout Texas, Oregon and Mexico. Her work has been exhibited nationally and internationally, both in galleries and on the street.
