Limp Leather binding is an excellent introduction to working with leather in the realm of book arts, while making a sturdy, unique journal. You will discuss and learn various techniques including spine reinforcement, hole punching, accurate signature spacing, decorative stitching, and closure possibilities. Through implementing these techniques and skills, you will go home with a new journal or sketchbook.

About the instructor:
Jean Buescher Bartlett earned her MFA Book Arts degree from the University of Alabama. She is an Adjunct Professor of Art and Design at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit and has also taught at the University of Michigan, the Penland School of Crafts, the Paper & Book Intensive, the Morgan Conservatory, and many other locations across the country. The founder and owner of Bloodroot Press since 1990, Jean’s work resides in over fifty major collections
