Collagraph Printing (Canceled)

Collagraph Printing (Canceled)

Presented by Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation at The Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation

Canceled due to COVID-19.

Collagraph printing is a relief-printing process that involves attaching low relief shapes, fibers, and textured materials to a sturdy substrate such as cardboard or mat board. This collaged surface is sealed, then inked and printed allowing one to make multiple prints from the plate. Throughout this workshop, you will make several collagraph plates and print them on paper as well as fabric. You will print with and without a press allowing you to see the benefits of this process even in informal studios. Mixed media techniques will be covered as a way to enhance the possibilities inherent in collagraphy.
