Explore the interplay between the surface and the interior of paper by experimenting with embedding within sheets of wet paper pulp.
Canceled due to COVID-19.
Explore the interplay between the surface and the interior of a sheet of paper. Similar to collage, embedding allows you to create multidimensional layers in paper. You will learn how to create this effect by using wet paper pulp, textiles, plant fibers, and other collage materials. Using laminating processes as well as deckle boxes, you will embed directly into paper. Throughout the weekend, you will experiment and play with this technique to create unique works to bring home.
