“The Strategy in Getting the African American Vote.” This event will be a Panel Discussion featuring speakers: Peter Lawson Jones, Cordell Stokes, State Senator Sandra Williams, and Councilwoman Carmella Williams.

The Shaker Historical Society is proud to present a forum for “The Strategy in Getting the African American Vote.” This event will be a Panel Discussion featuring speakers: Peter Lawson Jones, Cordell Stokes, State Senator Sandra Williams, and Councilwoman Carmella Williams. This engaging and important dialogue will brainstorm and answer questions regarding strategies to get the African American vote, particularly among younger and older generations and the working class. There will also be Q&A available for attendees at the end.

Parking Info

Parking is available in the lot behind the museum. Cyclists may park their bikes at racks near the main entrance. Drivers may parkĀ facing the garage. A designated handicapped parking space is located near the ADA ramp and entrance. If the lot is full, visitors may park on the north side of South Park Blvd (opposite the museum).
