AHH! Art Helps and Heals Open Art Studio Exhibit in Westlake

Presented by Far West Center at Westlake Porter Public Library

The Open Art Studio at Far West Center helps persons with severe mental illness use creative art tools for health and recovery. Our client-artists are delighted to display their visual art successes and showcase their progress during this community exhibit. Get a glimpse into these powerful messages of healing with colors, pencils, painting, pastels, and mixed media.

Please visit and share the expressions of these unique works of “emotional art”, empowering the lives of so many in our community who are working toward recovery.

To Be Announced: Our Annual Open House Event for May, Mental Health Awareness Month, at Westlake Porter Public Library.  Come visit our artwork that will be displayed in the front cases and gallery walls.  Then join us for a public open house to learn about mental health services, volunteering opportunities with Compeer, and information on how art benefits everyone’s mental health.  Light snacks and activities.
