Join us for a screening of My Violin Weighs a Ton, a documentary recapping a local project when students from the Lexington-Bell Community Center created and perfomed hip hop with a classical twist at Severance Hall
Immediately following the screening, project lead and hip-hop musician Archie Green and his collaborators, Kelsi Carter of Shooting Without Bullets and Tino Cash of 610 Filmworks, will hold a panel discussion.
Archie Green has been featured on various Cleveland-based media outlets including WKYC Channel 3, WCPN Ideastream, Cleveland Magazine, Cleveland.com, and Cleveland Scene. He was also selected as one of The Guardian’s 2019 Cleveland City Champions. His introspective single, “Layers” premiered at VICE.com in 2016.
Kelsi Carter is social impact innovator involved with project management, program and curriculum development, and nonprofit administration as a means to create solutions to social problems affecting marginalized and underserved populations. She is currently the Impact Director of Shooting without Bullets.
