On January 29, at 9 a.m., take a moment to meet with your fellow creative workers and administrators to discuss the 2020 Census. Hosted by Arts Cleveland and Cuyahoga Arts & Culture, this meeting will provide you background on the Census and ways that you can make a difference in this vital, once per decade activity. Hear from Census experts, including:

Nada Martinovic, Ph.D., Partnership Specialist at U.S. Census Bureau will share her expertise on the 2020 Census activities and the implications of the count.
Juan Galeano, Project Director, 2020 Census at The Cleveland Foundation will discuss and share opportunities for arts and culture to be involved in their Census-related projects. He will share more about mini-grant stipend opportunities available for artists and organizations doing Census outreach in their communities.
The 2020 Census opens April 1, 2020. As a directive of our constitution, the United States counts all its people every ten years.  A complete data set is critical and artists, creative industries, our audiences and our patrons are critical to the count . Census statistics will be used to determine representation and financial decisions at all levels of government as well as inform philanthropic and business decisions for years to come.
