The music of Schumann, Adès and Tchaikovsky
Acclaimed violinist Jinjoo Cho brings her “intense lyricism and heartfelt tenderness” to one of the greatest concertos written for the instrument. Maestro Meyer will open the program with Robert Schumann’s mini-symphony, Overture, Scherzo and Finale. Inspired by the Baroque, British composer Thomas Adès reinterprets the harpsichord studies of François Couperin.
