The Cleveland Grays, in conjunction with Cuyahoga Arts and Culture, present Alive & Talking at the Armory! Discover Authentic Cleveland stories with real historical connections at Cleveland Grays Armory Museum. Join us for this free, living history event and meet Civil War personalities like General James Barnett, Sarah Emma Edmonds, George Tibbitts and more.

Interact with live characters from the past, explore the 1893 club rooms, tackle the scavenger hunt, or heritage activities. Learn about upcoming opportunities for teachers, students, scouts, and families. Explore new curriculum connections and lesson ideas during our free, Living History Event on November 16, 2019, from 11am-2pm. Everyone is welcome.

All public, private, and homeschool educators are welcome. Families, students, scouts, and educators are encouraged to attend.

Parking in the West Surface Lot Adjacent to Grays Armory will be free on November 16 from 10:45 am-3pm. The lot is small, first-come first serve. We do not recommend parking on the street. Other parking garages and surface lots are nearby. Each incurs its own fee.

Accessibility Info

The Armory is 3 levels. There is a wheelchair ramp at the rear access. ADA lifts provide access to the second floor club rooms. ADA lifts do not reach the third floor or sub-level gun range. An elevator is being installed. Currently, it is not operational.
