Cleveland Jewish Book Festival

Presented by Mandel Jewish Community Center of Cleveland at Mandel Jewish Community Center

From November 3-18, 2019 twelve authors, plus an additional six local authors will appear at the Mandel JCC and at other local venues to present their  books.  Among the speakers includes Judith Viorst who will speak about her newest book Nearing Ninety.  Q and A sessions and book signings will follow all events.

Additionally, a special evening featuring Jamie Elman and Eli Batalion, creators of the YidLife Crisis web series will appear during the festival.   A literary character event designed for preschool age children and their families will be held on November 17 featuring Cookie Mouse from the If You Give A Mouse a Cookie children’s book.

One final post-festival event will feature Alana Newhouse, author of The 100 Most Jewish Foods, on December 4.

Partners include the Cuyahoga County Public and Cleveland Public Libraries.

Admission Info

Several events are free of charge, discounts are available for groups of ten or more.  Tickets can be purchased online at www.mandeljcc.org/bookfest, at the Mandel JCC or at the door if tickets are still available.
