Film Screening & Talk-Back: The Lavender Scare

Film Screening & Talk-Back: The Lavender Scare

Presented by Maltz Museum and LGBT Community Center of Greater Cleveland at Maltz Museum

In 1953, President Eisenhower declared gay men and lesbians to be a threat to the security of the country and therefore unfit for government service. In doing so, he triggered the longest witch hunt in American history. Run time: 1h17m with a talk-back following, featuring Brynna Fish, local writer, musician, and activist. Thank you to our community partner: LGBT Community Center of Cleveland.
