This exhibit is a collection of some of Susan Onysko’s remarkable portraits from Cosplay Conventions of performance artists portraying characters from DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Disney and anime.
Susan Onysko is an internationally awarded professional travel photographer from Ohio. Her unique, emotional portraits have earned her world-wide acclaim. Intrigued by Cosplay, the performance art practice of dressing up as a character from a movie, book, or video game, she embarked on a personal project, Cosplay 50: The United States of Cosplay. Her goal is to photograph the amazing cosplayers portrait-style at conventions in all fifty states for a coffee table book. This exhibit is a collection of some of those remarkable portraits of characters from DC Comics, Game of Thrones, Disney and anime.
