A Little Bit of Country on the Northcoast

From its deep and tangled roots in ballads, blues and hymns performed in small settings, to its worldwide popularity, learn how country music evolved over the course of the twentieth century. The series features never-before-seen footage and photographs, plus interviews with more than 80 country music artists. No one has told the story this way before.

Following the preview, ideastream’s Senior Arts Reporter David C. Barnett will lead a panel discussion about the enduring popularity of country music, and why you don’t have to be a Southerner to be a fan. The panel will feature:
