MTA brings together museum trustees and senior staff to discuss and ignite conversations around topics essential to museum governance today. Over several days of programs you will hear from experts, learn from peers, and dive into pressing topics.
We are bringing two days of educational and networking events specially designed for museum board members and leadership to iconic Cleveland museums.
The main event is the Friday Forum at moCa Cleveland on October 18, 2019: a full day of panels, presentations, and Q&A focused on current topics essential to museum trustees. This is a great opportunity for boards to take advantage of collective learning, and together return to their museums with new energy and ideas about collections management, board diversity, community enhancement, building transformation, and construction planning from concept to completion.
We will also be hosting a welcome reception at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and dinner at Nuevo Modern Mexican with speaker Dennis Barrie on Thursday, October 17. After the Friday Forum, the group will head to the Cleveland Museum of Art for cocktails, tours, and dinner with speaker David Abbott, Executive Director of the Gund Foundation. All events are open to trustees and leaders, with a strong contingent of local and national trustees expected.
