Karamu will use their artistic ability to express senior stories into action through interviews and storytelling.
Karamu will use their oral histories project to dialogue with the most esteemed, seniors. Through these authentic conversations, artists will learn about the diverse personal histories of our Cleveland, Ohio seniors and their varied, individual contributions to the greatness of the city. The oral histories are recorded and transcribed. These narratives are then transcribed and shared out through an informal sharing public process. This program will take place at the East Cleveland Rose Center for Aging Well at Salvation Army and the Ernest J. Bohn Rose Center for Aging Well.
